Frequently Asked Questions

Questions worth asking
before you inquire.

Everything most people want to know before starting a conversation. If your question is not here, send us an inquiry.

Can these doors be used for both exterior and interior spaces?

Yes. Every Invisible Security Door is custom built for its specific location. Exterior entry doors, garage entries, rear entries. Master closets, bedrooms, home offices, safe rooms. The door is engineered for the application and matched to the architecture of the space.

How does this door provide serious protection when it looks completely normal?

The exterior appearance is custom matched to your home. What is inside the door is an entirely different structure. A patent-pending stainless steel mechanism that activates nine independent structural locking points the moment the deadbolt turns. Two layers of full coverage impact and UL 752 certified ballistic panels.

From the outside, nothing looks different. That is the entire point.

Is every door custom built to match my home?

Yes. There is no standard configuration, no catalog option, no compromise on appearance. Same wood species, same paint formula, same stain, same panel profile, same hardware finish. In many installations we take the skin off an existing door and place it directly onto the new frame. The result is indistinguishable from the door that was there before.

Who handles installation?

Installation is coordinated through your consultation. We work with your builder, contractor, or preferred installer to ensure a seamless fit. Full guidance and installation specifications are provided to ensure the door integrates properly with the framing and design of your home.

Where are these doors most commonly installed?

The master closet is the most common starting point. Designer goods, watches, a personal safe, irreplaceable items. Lock it when you leave for the evening. Lock it when you travel.

Beyond that ... main entries, rear entries, garage entries, master bedrooms, home offices, children's rooms. Vacation homes left for weeks at a time. Owner suites in high end short term rentals. Anywhere the boundary between your world and the outside needs to hold.

Can this door be used to create a safe room?

Yes. Many clients use Invisible Security Doors as part of a discreet safe room design. The Citadel Lock configuration is particularly well suited for this ... inside operation only, no exterior cylinder exposed. Contact us to discuss your specific design goals.

What is the lead time and what does the process look like?

Lead time is 8 to 10 weeks in most cases. The process begins with a private consultation to discuss which spaces you are considering, the architectural details of your home, and which lock configuration is right for each door. Everything is custom built from that conversation. Nothing ships until it is exactly right.
